ENF Board vs E0 Board vs E1 Board: Formaldehyde Emission Grades Compared
ENF is the strictest of the three formaldehyde emission grades, capped at 0.025 mg/m³, versus E1 board’s 0.124 mg/m³ limit — the standard grade for most Malaysian market furniture. All Sunpina built-in cabinetry (kitchens, wardrobes, TV walls, wall panels) is ENF grade as standard, meaning lower formaldehyde off-gassing and better indoor air quality than furniture built to E0 or E1 grade.

E0 board or ENF board: which should I choose?
Both are low-emission grades under China’s GB/T 39600-2021 classification. E0 board is capped at 0.050 mg/m³. ENF board is capped at 0.025 mg/m³ — half the E0 board limit and roughly five times stricter than standard E1 board. For wardrobes, kitchens and bedrooms that stay closed and air-conditioned, ENF board keeps formaldehyde lowest, which is why every Sunpina built-in cabinet uses ENF board as standard.
Is E0 board the same as zero formaldehyde?
No. E0 board is a low-emission grade, not zero. No wood-based panel is literally formaldehyde-free, because wood itself contains trace natural formaldehyde. When Sunpina says zero formaldehyde (零甲醛), it means ENF board, the strictest grade available, with independent lab reports on request.
